February 2012 ReGeneration Changemakers National Convention |

Where: Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna, Auckland City When: Friday 10th February 2012
Be part of the first ReGeneration National Convention. An intergenerational gathering of people working to create positive change in their schools, families, communities, work places and the places that we live. The event will bring together people from a diverse range of ages, backgrounds and expertise to connect and challenge ourselves, to develop new initiatives and strategies for social, environmental and creative change.
Held at the Bruce Mason Auditorium in Takapuna the Convention is a great chance to take a Friday off and participate in the exciting performances, short presentations, intergenertional presentation and keynotes.
The day will kick off at 10am and finish at 6pm. We anticipate tickets costing $40 and lunch will be BYO or at one of the many cafes nearby.

Summer Jam is ReGeneration’s annual national youth leadership event. Young people from around New Zealand who are already leading the change in their communities, schools and organisations gather to upskill, plan actions, have fun and consider the question "where to from here?"
The concept is youth teaching youth, and while there are facilitators, youth workers and invited speakers, all are part of the Jam. |

Visitors to Porirua’s Pataka Museum this winter have been treated to truly inspiring array of multicultural experiences, from Japanese tea ceremonies to Welsh crafts and singalongs, to tastes of Iran and South Africa. On the menu for later in September areTonga and Argentina. A glance at the latest photos on the website shows the stunning diversity and beauty being shared.
The Migrating Kitchen Trust aims to...
- Encourage and provide opportunities for people in Aotearoa New Zealand to showcase their culture, to celebrate their history and to share their stories in exhibitions, media and public events so that through knowledge, barriers are broken, tolerance and understanding emerge.
- Promote public education programmes in Aotearoa New Zealand through partnership with ethnic communities living here, in order to celebrate racial diversity, promote tolerance and understanding, and to foster peace through showcasing culture, festivals, families and food.
