3 May: Opotiki District Council Harbour Project up for Excellence Award

Opotiki District Council has been named a finalist in the 2010 IPANZ Gen-i Public Sector Excellence Awards.

Opotiki District Council is up for the Te Puni Kōkiri Award for Crown - Māori Relationships, for the Opotiki Harbour Development project.

The other nominations in this category are:
* Taupo District Council for the Joint Management Agreement
* Department of Conservation for Te Pukenga Atawhai

The winners and the Prime Minister's Award for Public Service Excellence will be announced by the Prime Minister in Wellington on Friday, 18 June 2010.
